"Take him back...? Wait, wait a minute!" Ishi shouted and moved in front of Lelouch protectively, fangs visible and gleaming. Raising her staff, she proclaimed, "I am so freaking confused right now. Who the hell are you people really? And just where exactly are you planning on taking Lelouch? I am not letting anyone out of this room unless I start hearing some damn good clear explanations."

The one that Farid referred to as Hara spoke first. "Oh forgive me. Where are my manners? My name is Hara Lzona and this is my wife Laya. Those you see around us are members of our family. You see, we are werepyres from a small, hidden colony in Shuez Net. Nobody knows about our settlement thanks to the protection of the Kastina family. In return for their protection, we agreed to give our child to the Kastinas so they can try and find out the substance in our blood that allows for a perfect union of the species." Looking at Lelouch and Farid he said, "Seems like he has found what he was looking for so now we have come to take Lelouch back to where he belongs; with his family."

Lelouch was frozen on the spot. His head felt like it was going to explode from all the information that he had just taken in. If all that Hara was saying was true, then that would mean that his whole life was a lie, everything that he thought was his was suddenly torn from him. The only thing he managed to do was look over at Ishi with eyes that resembled those of a desperate child on the verge of tears.

Hearing Hara's story as well as seeing her longtime friend in such a pitiful state caused a variety of emotions to course through Ishi's veins: shock, anger, jealousy, compassion, love. If Farid Kastina was not Lelouch's real father, then that meant that he was adopted, thrown away by his real parents. All for one meager cause for science?

His eyes... They held much pain and suffering in them, and all the Kobaneoh wanted to do was throw down her staff, rush over to him and comfort him as much as possible. She could handle her own emotional pain quite well, but Lelouch was far more sensitive and susceptible to attacks of the mind and heart. This was not what was supposed to happen; they were not his family, no matter how warm and comforting they appeared. Family never throws you away, not for anything in the world.

"Hara, I am only going to say this once." Ishi began, tightening her grip on her weapon and raising her head to glare into his eyes, her own turning luminescent. "Stay away from Lelouch Kastina, or I will force you to. Underestimate me, and you will die."

Apparently the family were not very good listeners (a trait that she could not help but smile at when it reminded her of a certain someone) as a couple skidded forward to claim their kin, but Ishi was ready for them. In a flash they were both thrown back against the wall, and the Kobaneoh could not help but smirk. Looks like this was going to happen the hard way.

The comfort would have to wait; she had an ass kicking to give out.

Hara looked at his family that had been thrown into the wall, "Impressive, but you don't really expect us to take him by force do you? My dear Kobaneoh, he is going to come with us of his own free will." Hara looked at Laya who had snuck to Lelouch's side and was hugging him just like how a loving mother holds a crying child. "It's okay my dear Lelouch, we shall soon be home and everything will be clear."

For some reason, Lelouch felt comfortable in his newly discovered mother's arms and what they said was true; He did want to know. His mind was more unstable than ever and he wanted to make sense of it all and it seemed that his "family" was going to have answers for him.

"No...!" Before she had the chance, Ishi found herself captured and flung out the double doors and into the wilderness outside. Her body collided hard against a nearby tree, and she felt a sickening crack from her spine. A shock that would have been enough to kill a human coursed throughout her body, causing a temporary, though quite painful paralysis. A normal human would not be able to survive the attack, and this was one of those times that the Kobaneoh praised her inhuman powers. "Lelouch!"

"Why can't you just leave him alone?" A foot came into her field of vision, and Ishi found that it belonged to one of the two werepyres she had attacked before, the woman. "My nephew has just found happiness and you are not letting him attain it. A boy such as himself deserves to know who his real parents are."

"Maybe I don't want him to know. Maybe I want to keep things the way they were," Ishi spat, trying to move her limbs despite how futile it was. 'Maybe I want him to still care for me the way he did before we found any of this out...'

A sigh. "I don't care what Laya says: you are too cruel and cold for Lelouch. He deserves someone better, and especially someone of his own kind. Pathetic vampire!" She spat the last few words and added a kick to the gut, winding the vampire easily.

"No...you're...wrong..." Ishi gasped as she tried to reclaim her breath, watching as the woman walked casually back to the castle.

'It's not true... Lelouch, it's not true...is it?'
